- Appointments are recommended, particularly during busy evenings and weekends, but walk-ins are welcome when availability allows. Booking ahead is the best way to reserve your preferred barber or stylist, service, and appointment time.

- What haircut services do you offer?
- We offer a variety of haircut and grooming services for different hair types, styles, and ages, including traditional barber cuts, fades, scissor cuts, longer hairstyles, buzz cuts, children's cuts, shampoo services, and premium grooming experiences. - Do you offer fades?
- Yes. Our barbers and stylists offer fades and detailed short-hair services customized to your hair type, preferred length, and desired style.
- Do you cut longer hairstyles?
- Absolutely. Stubble & Stache isn't limited to traditional short barber cuts. Our team works with longer hairstyles, textured hair, scissor cuts, modern styles, and guests who want to maintain or reshape longer hair.
- Can you help me choose the right hairstyle?
- Of course. Bring an inspiration photo if you have one, or simply talk with your barber or stylist about what you like—and don't like—about your current hair. We'll consider your hair texture, growth pattern, lifestyle, maintenance preferences, and personal style to help create a look that works for you.
- Do you offer beard and mustache grooming?
- Yes. Beard and mustache grooming are an important part of the Stubble & Stache experience. Services include beard shaping, mustache shaping, beard cleanup, neckline cleanup, and detailed grooming for a polished finished look.
- Do you offer straight-razor shaves?
- Yes. We offer traditional straight-razor services, including options with hot towels, detailed shaving, neckline cleanup, beard cleanup, and full-face shaving. If you're looking for a traditional straight-razor shave in Portage or the greater Kalamazoo area, our team can help you choose the right service.
- What is a hot-towel shave?
- A hot-towel shave uses warm towels to soften facial hair and prepare the skin before shaving. Combined with professional straight-razor techniques, it creates a relaxing, classic barbershop experience with a clean, polished finish.
- Can I book a haircut and beard service together?
- Absolutely. We offer combination services and grooming packages for guests who want to combine a haircut with beard and mustache shaping, straight-razor detailing, neckline cleanup, and other grooming services. Depending on the service or package you select, your experience may include a haircut, beard and mustache grooming, straight-razor detailing, shampooing, scalp treatments, and other finishing touches.
- Can I have a drink before or after my haircut?
- Absolutely! Guests who are of legal drinking age may enjoy a beverage from our full bar before or after their grooming service. You don't need a haircut to visit the bar, either. You're welcome to stop in, have a drink, play a game, and enjoy the Stubble & Stache atmosphere.
- What kinds of drinks do you offer?
- Our full bar offers a variety of options, including bourbon, whiskey, cocktails, beer, and more. Don't drink alcohol? No problem! We also offer mocktails, coffee, non-alcoholic beverages, and old-fashioned root beer floats. 🥤🍨
- Do you have games?
- Yes! Stubble & Stache was designed to feel like somewhere you actually want to spend time. Enjoy shuffleboard and darts along with drinks, conversation, and the Stubble & Stache atmosphere
- Do women come to Stubble & Stache?
- Absolutely! Everyone is welcome. While many of our services are inspired by traditional barbering and men's grooming, Stubble & Stache welcomes anyone who wants the cuts, styles, grooming services, bar experience, and atmosphere we provide.
- Do you offer children's and teen haircuts?
- Yes. We offer grooming services for younger guests as well as adults. Ask us about Tot to Teen Tuesday and Class Act Wednesday for eligible guests.
- Do you offer services or specials for college students?
- Yes. Our Class Act Wednesday offering includes eligible college students. Please bring a current student ID when applicable.
- Do you offer a military discount?
- Yes. Stubble & Stache proudly offers a 10% military discount.
- Can Stubble & Stache accommodate groomsmen and wedding parties?
- Absolutely—and this is one of our favorite ways to experience Stubble & Stache. Grooms and groomsmen can get ready together with haircuts, beard grooming, straight-razor services, drinks from the bar, games, and time together before the big event. Please contact us in advance so we can coordinate services, timing, and your group's experience.
- Can other groups come in for grooming and drinks?
- Yes. Stubble & Stache can accommodate groups for celebrations, special occasions, wedding parties, and other gatherings. Call or text (269) 888-2025 so we can help plan your visit.
- What is your cancellation and no-show policy?
- We understand that plans sometimes change. We ask that appointments be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance. Appointments canceled within 24 hours, no-shows, or no-calls may be charged 100% of the reserved service price. This policy helps protect the time and income of our service providers while allowing us to offer appointment opportunities to other guests. Please call or text (269) 888-2025 if you need assistance with your appointment.
- What if I am not happy with my service?
- Our goal is simple: we want you to love your look. If you have a concern about your service, please contact us within 3 days so we have the opportunity to help. While we do not offer refunds on completed services, we're happy to make appropriate adjustments within 7 days of the original service. If an additional service that was not part of the original appointment is needed to achieve a different desired result, the additional service will be charged at its regular price.
- Can I return or exchange a product?
- We want you to love the products you take home, too. If a product isn't right for you, please contact us about exchanging it for something better suited to your needs. Hair-care product returns may be applied toward another product or issued as a Stubble & Stache gift card in accordance with our return policy.
- What forms of payment do you accept?
- We accept cash, checks, and major credit cards. Credit card transactions are assessed a 3.5% convenience fee. A 0.65% processing fee applies to non-cash gratuities through our cashless tipping system. These fees do not apply when paying with cash.
- Why can prices vary between service providers?
- Stubble & Stache uses a Level Pricing and Compensation System. As our barbers and stylists grow in experience, demand, performance, and achievement of professional goals, they have opportunities to advance through our level system. This also gives our guests different pricing options so they can select a service provider and price point that works for them.
